Following a comprehensive review of the services we provide, we have recognised the need to focus more on developing young people’s leadership skills and enabling them to build a greater sense of empowerment – whilst continuing to offer access to traditional support groups and one-to-ones which our young people tell us they still need.
Many of our young people experience complex issues such as mental health difficulties due to LGBT+ phobia and discrimination.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Youth Support Worker to work alongside our Youth Work Team. The person needs to be committed to working collaboratively with LGBT+ young people and to engaging with harder to reach LGBT+ young people who are further disadvantaged by economic inequalities, disabilities or identifying as people of colour.
