We are deeply concerned by recent decisions by Girlguiding and the Women’s Institute to exclude trans girls and young women. We see this as yet another attack on the rights of trans people and a violation of their dignity and right to belong.

Our message is clear: trans and non-binary young people are welcome at SAYiT. Our space is for all members of the LGBTQ+ community, and we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where young people can be their authentic selves.

Trans young people already face significant stigma and barriers, and exclusion from community spaces can cause real harm. At SAYiT, we stand with trans girls, trans young people, and non-binary young people, and we will continue to prioritise wellbeing, dignity, and inclusion in everything we do.

To all trans and non-binary young people: our message is simple and unwavering — you belong, you are welcome here, and you are deeply valued and supported by us
