SAYiT aims to build an integrated person-centered service that balances delivery and activism in order to support the sexual health and emotional well being of all young people. It aims to do this through the provision of specialized support and social opportunities, with particular focus on empowering LGBT + young people and those young people affected by HIV. It offers group work and 1:1s for 11-25 year olds; education sessions in schools, youth settings; support for parents and carers; training for workers and adult volunteers and bespoke training for organizations.
Who we need
We are looking for committed individuals to expand the range of Trustee skills as well as to consolidate existing skills. We require dynamic and motivated people who are passionate about the aims and objectives of SAYiT to fulfil these voluntary duties with energy and integrity. We expect Trustees to contribute actively to the Board, have good independent judgement and be enthusiastic members of the team.
We want to have a wide range of people on the Board, and seek to be representative of the diverse population. Trustees should have an acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship but there is no need to have trustee experience to apply.
