This week we’d like to introduce you to another of our team members, Victoria Ilott:

“My name is Victoria Ilott, I am the Assistant Team Leader for the Peer Support project and I also work with Off the Scene, which is our support and advocacy service for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) young adults aged 18-25.

My background is in art, education, and supporting Children, Young People and Adults in a variety of settings: before moving to Sheffield I worked as a teacher of Art and Photography in secondary education and had a particular responsibility for working with students with additional needs. I feel incredibly privileged to be involved with a project which empowers young LGBT people to draw on their own skills and experience to provide support for their peers.”

If you would like to find out more about the work done at Peer Support and Off the Scene by Victoria and the rest of the team, please contact us on 0114 241 2728 or email offthescene@sayouthtrust.org.uk or for more information about Peer Support email victoria@sayouthtrust.org.uk.
