Today we continue with our series of posts to introduce our new members of staff. This time we have Natalie, from the Democracy project. Let’s hear what she has to say:
“Hi, my name is Natalie Laker-Jones and I live with my wife and daughter. I first got involved with SAYIT by volunteering as a trustee. The organisation felt very close to my heart and I wanted to give something back to the LGBT community. Now I am a Team Leader on the newly formed Democracy project.
I have achieved an English Literature Degree (which has permanently put me off books!) and a PGCE in Education. I have supported learners of all ages and backgrounds. I love most things especially my idol Kylie Minogue (sorry everyone) and dislike very little although beetroot is probably at the top of the list.
My hobbies are watching movies and box sets, spending time with my family and socialising with friends. I am really pleased to be on the SAYIT team and look forward to meeting new people and continuing to support young people be who they want to be. The skills I hope to bring to the trust are creativity and a sense of humour.”

If you would like to find out more about the work done at the Democracy project, by Natalie and the rest of the team, and even participate in, please contact us at info@sayouthtrust.org.uk or visit the website www.sayouthtrust.org.uk.
